What happened

Midjourney, the company behind the AI image generator, is testing a new mode called "Thinking Mode". It is being run on its experimental Alpha website at alpha.midjourney.com.

The developers are inviting users to try the feature and share what they think. Their feedback will help decide whether the mode should be added to the regular version of the service.

How to try it

To run the mode, open an already created image in the enlarged view and click "Rerun (Thinking)" in the lower right corner. The image is then generated again with the new mode turned on.
