Discord now correctly displays Markdown previews

A Discord update is meant to fix the display of Markdown texts, which previously looked like a set of unreadable characters.

✨ What changed

Discord has released a new update, and it concerns Markdown previews. Markdown is a way of writing text with simple formatting, such as headings, lists, or bold text. Previously, in some cases, instead of nice formatting, users saw a bunch of special characters.

According to the company, such messages should now display correctly.

📌 Why this could be useful

Chatbots and AI agents often use Markdown files as instructions and reference information. People who share such files with others will now be able to view them more conveniently directly in Discord.

This applies primarily to those who work together on AI projects and will help them understand more quickly what exactly was conveyed in the text.
