An AI agent asks you for approval on your iPhone lock screen

The Monish app lets AI agents send approval requests to the iPhone lock screen, where a person can respond with one tap.

Agents

What this app is

Monish is an iPhone app that lets AI agents ask a person for a decision. An AI agent is a program that carries out tasks on its own, for example sending something or changing something. Before, if an agent needed a yes or no, it waited until the person opened the app and saw the question. Now the request appears on the lock screen.

How it works

On the lock screen you can tap Approve or Deny without Face ID, even when the phone is locked. The app does not open, and the answer goes straight to the agent, which is waiting for it and continues within seconds. If you want to write an explanation, for example «yes, but staging only», you need to open the app. If nobody answers before the request expires, it counts as a no.

What the request card shows

A request includes more than a title: the question itself, a context line (what, where and cost), a short detail, and a risk level: low, medium or high. Tapping the card opens the full request. The app's makers say agents should ask for permission only before deploying, spending, sending messages to real people or deleting things.
