What happened

According to The Verge, the Nintendo Switch 2 console was “jailbroken.” This means it became possible to run programs and modifications on the device that the manufacturer did not intend.

A modder named Sam Hajgamid, known online as “pepsipu,” showed how a modified version of Mario Kart World runs on the console. It features new characters: Cinnamoroll, a red Angry Bird, Peter Griffin from “Family Guy,” and Steve from Minecraft.

Role of AI

According to the author, Codex helped create this hack, which was named “ns2jb.” It is a tool from OpenAI that helps write program code. It allows people to work faster on technical tasks, even if they are not professional programmers.

This case shows that AI tools are already being used not only for work, but also for experiments with devices that were previously difficult to modify.
