AI Is No Longer Used Only by the Young: 36% of Ukrainians Over 60

A new survey shows that two-thirds of Ukrainians use AI, and among people aged 60+, one in three uses chatbots.

AI is increasingly used in Ukraine not only by young people. Among Ukrainians aged 60 and older, 36% use chatbots and AI assistants, roughly one in three. Overall, two-thirds of Ukrainians use AI.

📌 Who conducted the research

The results of the survey "Ukrainians and AI" were released by the Institute of Sociology of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and the Social Design Lab. The survey was conducted in October 2026 among 505 respondents.

🔹 What it means

A chatbot is a program you can talk to in plain language, as you would with a person: ask questions, request explanations, or get help with text. The fact that even the older generation uses such tools shows that AI is gradually becoming a familiar part of everyday life in Ukraine.
